A 3-wire CCT strip typically uses one common positive (V+) + two negative channels (WW- / CW-): one channel for Warm White, the other for Cool White.
With a CCT controller (dual-channel output) or two-channel PWM dimmer, you control the two channels separately to blend smoothly across the CCT range (e.g., 2700K–6500K), while also adjusting brightness. In other words: channel mixing sets the color temperature, and PWM level sets the brightness.
